“Our studies show that people are poisoned and die not only and not so much because alcohol is toxic, but because people drink a lot. This is a common problem,” he said before the conference, devoted to the 35th anniversary of Penza branch of toxicology Clinical Hospital No. 6, held on Wednesday, September 7.
However, Yuri Ostapenko opined that it is difficult to make a person refrain from drinking alcohol without specific restrictive measures.
“Therefore, my wish is that people thought better and celebrated soberly. Do not struggle with alcohol destroying as much of it as possible,” the chief toxicologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation stressed.
