Penza, 8 September 2016. PenzaNews. The new owner of the building, located in Penza, Kurskaya Street, 1A, expressed willingness to extend the lease with the center for stray animals “Pitomets,” which was previously scheduled to be evicted.

“We were promised not to be cast out and not to raise the rent,” the executive director of the “Helping Hand to Stray Animals” Inna Nazarova informed on Thursday, August 8.

According to her, the day before she was able to meet with the new owner personally.

“As we were promised not to raise the rent, then we will extend the contract. We have already expressed the desire to conclude a long-term contract. We received no answer so far, but hopefully, the owner agrees,” the agency interlocutor noted.

Responding to a question whether the issue is related to the decision of the governor Ivan Belozertsev to help resolve the situation, Inna Nazarova explained that the radio interview where the problem was stated and the meeting with the new owner took place at around the same time.

“Judging by the time, it is not connected, because we have agreed at about the same time,” she explained.
