“Laboratory investigated 661 ticks, 90 of them, or 13.6%, were infected with Ixodes tick borreliosis.

As of September 8, 30 cases of the disease were diagnosed. 19 of them were identified among Penza residents, three in Kuznetsk, one in Bessonovska, Gorodishche, Zemetchino, Lunino, Moksha, Neverkino, Sosnovy Bor and Shemysheyka areas.

The total area of acaricidal treatment is over 170, 5287 hectares of land of 144 regional areas, which is 122.7% of the planned volume in the current epidemic season, the press service of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor reports.
