“During World War II tank units became effective means of addressing critical operational challenges. Over half a century passed, and today the tank forces are still a powerful means of armed struggle, and warriors-tankers are still glorious because of their heroism, fortitude, courage, willingness to honorably perform the most difficult tasks,” the mayor noted.

He expressed his gratitude to the veterans of Penza, who contributed to the Great Victory.

“We honor the participant of tank battles Alexander Milyukov, Colonel General of tank troops, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Andrei Kravchenko and other soldiers,” Victor Kuvaytsev stressed.

He drew attention to the fact that, based on the experience of their predecessors, the current generation of military armored forces is improving the combat rescue and training.

“For this, we say thank you. I wish you happiness, the best of luck and peaceful sky over your heads,” the Mayor of Penza said.
