Penza, 12 September 2016. PenzaNews. Members of student teams covered 90 kilometers during the volunteer event “Veloosen,” held in the Penza region as part of the project “I am proud of you, my Sura krai,” September 9 to 11.

The head of the regional branch of Russian Student Teams Artem Kolobov told PenzaNews that the event is held for the second consecutive year.

“Within the frameworks of the campaign, the guys focused on volunteer labour for the good of the village and the school, which hosted us. The route ran through two populated localities – the Rodnikovsky village in Kolyshleysky area and the village of Nadezhdino of Penzensky area. There, the students helped to improve school territories, removed unnecessary vegetation and brought the fruit garden in order,” the agency interlocutor remarked.

He added that as part of “Veloosen,” the participants of the bicycle ride met with pupils of the schools, presented the leisure-educational program to them and told about the movement of the student teams.

“In every school, there were presented memorable gifts – souvenirs of the Russian Student Teams and the methodical materials on the development of the Russian movement of pupils,” Artem Kolobov added.
