“Our department has very rich traditions [...], so it is important not to lose the traditions and potential, the experience that has been gained before me, because, perhaps, for the historical-philological department traditions are the most important thing. They are the basis of success in work and improvement in training, education,” Olga Sukhova told PenzaNews.
According to her, the general direction in the development strategy of the department is building capacity and stepping up to a new level.
“We have a lot of unresolved problems, so will have a lot of work on team building, on the improvement of educational activity. We have a very difficult period in 2018 — accreditation, and the faculty must take this test honorably. It is going to take a lot of work,” the agency interlocutor explained.
Among the priority tasks she faces as the dean of the department, Olga Sukhova listed the approval of a work plan of 2016-2017 academic year, summing up the results of admission and focusing the faculty on accreditation.
“Accreditation will determine many things in 2016-2017 academic year,” the dean explained.
As PenzaNews reported earlier, Olga Sukhova took the position of the PSU Dean of History and Philology on September 16.
It became vacant with the appointment of Oleg Yagov as deputy chairman of the government of the Penza region.
