Two-day festival of Russian culture “Zhar-Ptitsa” starts in Penza

Penza, 20 September 2016. PenzaNews. The grand opening of the II International Festival of Russian traditional culture “Zhar-Ptitsa” was held on the square in front of the Savitsky Penza art on Tuesday, September 20.

Addressing the participants of the festival, Metropolitan of Nizhniy Lomov and Penza Seraphim wished interesting and fruitful work.
“To all those who will participate, I wish enrichment and, of course, accumulation of knowledge about our culture, and particularly the knowledge that, perhaps, in the course of our hectic life passed by us,” he said.
In turn, the coordinator of the event, honored worker of culture of Russia Alla Tarkhova congratulated the gathered with the opening of the festival and announced that the main events will be held in “Tarkhany” Museum-Reserve on Wednesday, September 21.
She also invited the guests to the plenary session of the II International Scientific and Practical Conference “Russian Science and Culture: Past and Present” in the governor's house.
The festival continued with a concert of folk art ensembles of the Penza region. Also there was a trade fair and souvenir stalls.
The audience took part in master classes, including the writing of fairy tales and folk handicrafts.
