Penza, 21 September 2016. PenzaNews. A 48-year-old resident of Penza lost 24 thousand rubles being tricked by the Internet scammers when she tried to buy tickets to Spain.

“At one of the websites, the woman issued an order, and then transferred the money by express payment terminal. However, the tickets never arrived,” the press service of the regional MIA told PenzaNews.

The ministry noted that a criminal case was filed on the incident.

“To avoid becoming a victim of Internet fraud, the regional MIA recommends paying attention to some signs of potentially dangerous proposals. If the seller offers to transfer an advance payment for the goods, especially with the use of anonymous payment systems, electronic money or bank transfer to the card issued in the name of a private person, one needs to understand that this transaction is dangerous. Consider the risk when making these purchases. Remember that when transferring money to the prepaid account, you do not have any guarantees of their return or receipt of goods,” the press service stressed.
