Penza, 25 September 2016. PenzaNews. The representatives of the All-Russian organization “Military Brotherhood,” the association of combat actions in the region, as well as students of Cadet School No. 70 laid flowers to the Afghan Gates monument in Penza on Sunday, September 25.

The commemorative event was held within the framework of the action “Military Brotherhood’ against Drugs.” The event brought in the members of the “Legends of USSR Hockey” team Vasily Pervukhin, brothers Alexander and Vladimir Golikov, Vladimir Babashov and Igor Mishukov.

Welcoming the participants, Governor Ivan Belozertsev thanked the guests for a proactive stance.

“The representatives of the “Military Brotherhood” educate our youth. We have held a lot of joint military-patriotic actions in the recent years, which is important for the younger generations, for the veterans, future soldiers, and officers — the young people who will once decide to join the Russian Armed Forces,” he said.

In turn, the chief editor of “Military Brotherhood” magazine Vladimir Os'kin noted that each event carried out by the organization is dedicated to attracting young people to sports.

As the press service of the regional government told PenzaNews, at the end of the ceremony, Ivan Belozertsev invited everyone to the open hockey game between the “Military Brotherhood” team and the team of the region in “Diesel-Arena” stadium.
