Penza, 26 September 2016. PenzaNews. Since morning, the road workers employ on Kirova Street, Penza, for the repair of the roadway of which it is planned to allocate over 30 million rubles.

During the first half of the day, vigorous activity was held on the area from Bakunina Street to Lenina Square, where a large number of specialized equipment was accumulated. They truncated the surface layer of asphalt concrete pavement, after which the waste material was loaded on dump trucks and exported from the area.

The contractor workers occupied only one lane in the direction towards Lenina Square. The second lane remained unblocked for traffic.

Earlier, the mayor of Penza Victor Kuvaytsev offered to carry out repairs during the night to cause minimum disturbance to car users and passengers of public transport. Presumably, the daily work is caused by favorable dry and sunny weather that replaced the rain. Probably, the road workers decided to make maximum use of this opportunity for a quality repair.

According to information posted on the official website of public procurement, the e-tender on the repair of the road on Kirova Street — the area from Bakunina to Lermontova Street, was announced by the Penza department of housing, and the applications were accepted since September 10.

The initial (maximum) contract price is 33,471,301 rubles. The funding source is intergovernmental transfers from the budget of Moscow.

In accordance with customer requirements, road repairs must be completed before the end of October.
