“Equipment for the Benefit” gives away 6 computers, 2 printers, laptop and smartphone

Penza, 1 October 2016. PenzaNews. The Expert Council of the charitable program “Equipment for the Benefit,” which is implemented in the Penza region at the initiative of PenzaNews agency by the “Civil Union” foundation since 2009, announced the recipients of computer equipment during the meeting held on Friday evening, September 30.

In particular, the computers will be transferred to five seniors from volunteer group “Serebryanaya pora” [Silver time] - Lyudmila Shcheglova, Vera Zabelikhina, Valentina Sarantseva, Susanna Metchenko and Raisa Sidorova, as well as the social organization of Zarechny “Sports & Fitness.”

In addition, the Penza regional branch of the “International League for Protection of Culture” will receive a laptop and printer, and a resident of Penza Galiya Nevryuzina, who previously asked for a button cell phone and a digital camera will MegaFon Optima smartphone based on Android.

“At the moment we have requests from several people who would like to get computers, but they are not available yet. But we currently have two DVD-players, a scanner, Samsung Galaxy Duos smartphone and a laptop, which, however, needs the repair — it does not see the hard disk, although it can be turned on. This equipment is yet unclaimed, but as soon as the requests arrive, we shall just give it away. Also, we welcome everyone who is willing to donate the computers,”the executive director of the community foundation “Civil Union” Oleg Sharipkov commented.

The charity program “Equipment for the Benefit,” a PenzaNews initiative implemented by the Civil Union foundation since December 2009, seeks to help everyone who require second-hand operational computers.

Over the span of the program, more than 200 computers and computer accessories were donated to over 100 recipients – families in difficult life situations, people with disabilities and insufficient finances, and non-commercial organizations that help develop the civil community.
