“You come in any other city that may be bigger, richer, but it is not about the money — illumination of buildings at night. After all, this must be done! For some reason we do not do it,” he said during a round table dedicated to the creation of the comfortable environment in the city held in the regional government on Monday, October 3.
Ivan Belozertsev noted that this initiative did not root in Penza.
“We once started doing it in the city — it remains somewhere, but somewhere it was removed, everyone is trying to save money. Although it is possible to do so in order for the city to glimmer, so that people could come out on the street and felt happy,” the governor added.
According to him, the evening lighting of trees and facades of Penza houses is technically feasible.
“Let us do it in the city center. We shall allocate the money. Let's start with a small project,” Ivan Belozertsev urged.
