Penza, 6 October 2016. PenzaNews. Medal “For creation for the sake of Penza” will be awarded for significant contribution to the development of the city.

Thus, the award will be granted for charity and sponsorship activities in the field of economic development, industry, science, technology, construction, transport and communication, housing and communal services, education, social welfare, culture, arts, sports, environmental protection, law and order and public safety of the city.

The medal has a circular shape with a diameter of 55.5 mm, 4.3 mm thick, made of bronze with oxidized coating and reliefs and figures on both sides.

The obverse shows the blazing sun, against which there is a monument “Pervoposelenets” [First Settler]. On the circumference of the medal around the monument there is the inscription “On summer 1663 on the river Penza they ordered to create a city.”

On the reverse side of the awards at the top there is a fortress-city of Penza. Above it, on the left side there is an inscription “Penza Fortress,” at the bottom of the reverse side there is the city emblem, the press service of the City Hall informs.
