Penza, 6 October 2016. PenzaNews. Application for a number of public events, including a rally and march, filed by representatives of the LGBT community, is under consideration in the administration of Penza, the press service of the mayoralty told PenzaNews.

“The application was filed on the 4 th [of October]. It is considered by the department of crime prevention and the work with public and religious organizations. They [the event organizers] will soon receive the response. [...] If they are planning to picket on the 11 th, then, respectively, they will receive it before the 11 th,” the Penza administration commented.

The press service specified that the LGBT community expects to hold the event in Penza on October 11 and 17.

“We cannot disclose the person who filed the application — there is the law concerning personal data,” the municipality noted.
