First stone laid at construction site of school No. 14 in Penza

Penza, 6 October 2016. PenzaNews. The first stone was laid at the construction site of new school No.14 at the intersection of Shevchenko and Novy Kavkaz streets in Penza on Thursday, October 6.

Up until the beginning of the ceremony the construction activities continued — the workers hammered piles for the foundation of the building, grinded them and uloaded the ground.
Addressing the audience, the governor of the Penza region, Ivan Belozertsev noted the importance of the construction of the new school.
“The district is growing, many housed are built. I remember three years ago, while visiting a kindergarten nearby, we met with the local parents, and they designated the problem of school construction,” he said.
According to the governor, the work will be completed by the beginning of next school year.
“This year we plan to put into operation the school in “Sputnik” for 1,100 children. Last year in June, we laid the foundation stone of the school. The construction work I almost done,” the head of the region added.
Ivan Belozertsev said that in the Penza region they have a task to ensure within 3-4 years that all school activities are done in the first shift.
The head of the region said that special attention will be paid to the quality of education and training of teachers with allocation of additional funds.
“The USE is very difficult for children to pass. Unfortunately, today we see that not all teachers are able to complete the test exam at 100 points. And if the teacher cannot do it, he is unable to teach the child how to do it,” Ivan Belozertsev pointed out.
The first stones in the foundation of the school were laid by Ivan Belozertsev, deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Alexander Eremkin, mayor Victor Kuvaytsev, and head of Penza Valery Savelyev. The governor called one of the present children to help and then presented him a construction helmet.
Then the priest Nikolay Loskutov hallowed the site of the future school, and blessed the chief builder of the object for the successful completion of work.
