“It said that there was made a payment for the purchase in the amount of 16 thousand 440 rubles, and in case of refusal it was necessary to contact customer support. The woman phoned the specified number. An unknown man took the call, he introduced himself as a security service employee. Following his instructions, the woman told him the credit card number and the confirmation code that was sent to her cell-phone. She subsequently discovered that her account was debited in the amount of 6 thousand 400 rubles,” the press service of the Penza region department of MIA of the Russian Federation told the news agency PenzaNews.

“The case is being examined,” the department said.
