“On April 28 at about 16:00, while riding on “Playpen” an 11-year-old girl fell out the ride platform with a seat in the shape of toy car and received injuries in the form of numerous abrasions,” Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.
She explained that the child fell because there were no fasteners that could prevent accidental moving on the platform while riding.
“In addition, the entrepreneur changed the design of the ride – he removed passenger’s animal-shaped modules, and instead of them he installed car-shaped modules without seat belts and fasteners. After reconstruction the specified ride was not technically examined,” the agency interlocutor added.
According to her, maintenance of the ride was carried out with no necessary service documentation by the person without qualification who has not been instructed on safety.
