Over 800 prostitutes registered in police in Penza region
Penza, 31 October 2016. PenzaNews. More than 800 people working as prostitutes are registered by the police in the Penza region. This was reported to PenzaNews by the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The department noted that the police regularly conduct raids in places of concentration of these persons, including with the purpose of preventing and detecting various kinds of crimes.
“The police registered 79 places of the kind. Most of them are situated on the territory of the Oktyabrsky and Leninsky areas, and in the region - in Kuznetsk and Kuznetsky area,” the press service said.
The Ministry added that during one of the recent raids in the Oktyabrsky area of Penza two women were detained: reports were drawn up against them under Art. 6.11 of the Code of the Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation “Engagement in Prostitution,” which is punishable by a fine of up to 2 thousand rubles.
“In total, in the course of operational activities, which were carried out in the Penza region during the week, there were drawn up 48 protocols for prostitution,” the police noted.
