As the Penza region KbshZhD spokeswoman Svetlana Zatuliveter told PenzaNews, the railway workers of the Penza region were second in terms of the amount of trees planted, left behind only by the workers of the Samara region, who planted almost 54 thousand seedlings. The third place taken by Bashkortostan reported about 18,3 thousand trees planted.

“In total, in 2016 the employees of Kuibyshev Railway planted more than 100 thousand trees on the territory of the three republics and seven regions during the action. In general, tree planting plan outlined by KbshZhD has been exceeded by 18.5% as of November 2016,” the agency interlocutor said.

She added that the 100,000 th tree was planted on October 6 by the railway employees of the Bashkir region on the territory of Iglinsky forestry.
