Memory of policemen died on duty honoured in Penza
Penza, 8 November 2016. PenzaNews. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs department in the Penza region, major general of police Yuri Ruzlyaev, veterans of the law enforcement administration and representatives of the community honoured the memory of law enforcemnet officials died on duty on Tuesday, November 8.
They visited the Penza Novo-Zapadnoe cemetery, where they laid flowers at the police officers graves who gave their lives for defense and tranquility of residents.
“We remember our colleagues and friends thanks to whose feats we live in quiet and peace. The profession of law and order defender has always been and still remains one of the most dangerous ones. Being located at the front edge of crime control, police workers expose their lives to great risk every day,” Yuri Ruzlyaev said.
As the news agency PenzaNews was reported at the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs MIA press-service in the Penza region, 110 people died altogether in the execution of their duty in the region, including 17 people in the North Caucasus.
