In his speech, Valery Savelyev thanked Penza residents for their work, trust, support and wished them health, success, happiness, reliable friends, and moral courage.

At the same time, Victor Kuvaytsev expressed confidence that thanks to common efforts Penza will develop and become stronger and better. The mayor wished everyone success, accomplishment of desires, and moral harmony.

In addition, a fir tree was installed in the lobby. It is decorated with balls and bows and supplemented with inflatable Grandfather Frost, which stands next to it.

First comments on the festive atmosphere in the building in Marshala Zhukova street appeared on the Internet.

In particular, the deputy of the Penza Duma Alexei Shuvarin noted that it is “a wonderful PR stunt”.

“I suggest placing similar stands at the railway station, the bus station and the airport. Imagine, people arrive and see congratulations of the heads of the government, they would find it nice,” he wrote on his Facebook profile, suggesting transferring a fee for his idea to the city budget.

The building of the Penza administration also changed at the threshold of the winter holidays. It was decorated with the banner, which is placed over the entrance, with the inscription “Happy New Year!”. In addition, trees were decorated with garlands.

In the evenings, the building of the city administration is illuminated with white, blue and red lights, which symbolize the Russian flag.
