Editor in chief and photo correspondent of PenzaNews conduct workshops within project “Mediasmysly”

Penza, 7 December 2016. PenzaNews. The editor in chief and the photo correspondent of the news agency PenzaNews Pavel Polosin and Maxim Kostyushin conducted workshops within the project “Mediasmysly” in Penza on Wednesday, December 7.

Greeting the students who gathered in the house of youth, Pavel Polosin thanked them for their interest in journalism.
He draw the audience attention towards how the media space changed during the last 10 years, briefly dwelled on the main tendencies of the news journalism development in the region, as well as on the demands to mass media workers in the modern conditions.
The editor in chief of the news agency PenzaNew emphasized that it is important to present only reliable information to the reader.
“Irrespective of where you will work – on TV, on the radio, in a newspaper or in the Internet media, you should gain the trust of the audience, and you will never do this using the news based on fantasy and invented facts,” Pavel Polosin emphasized.
In his turn, Maxim Kostyushin shared with the students his experience of event photography work.
He told the students about the conditions in which a news agency photo correspondent has to work, starting from official events featuring leaders of the city, the region or the county and finishing with extreme situations when it is important to decide what to do quickly, to take unique photos and to bring them to the editorial office as soon as possible.
During the workshop, Maxim Kostyuship gave concrete examples demonstrating several photo reportages.
At the end of the workshops, the students thanked the speakers for the useful information, and some of them asked if it is possible to conduct an internship in the news agency PenzaNews.
“Mediasmysly” – is the All-Russian project of the Federal agency for youth affairs. It offers a range of educational events for students in different regions of Russia.
Speakers of the project are special correspondents of federal channels, editors and journalists of regional editions, authors of media projects and other expects in the field of the mass media.
