Penza, 17 December 2016. PenzaNews. More than 200 school pupils went to the first excursion around Samara within the framework of the interregional tourism and local history project “Train car of knowledge” on Saturday, December 17.

At the railway station Penza-I they were met by the costume characters of an astronaut and a conductor.

“During the trip, the children will take part in educational contests and quizzes about the native land. In Samara, the guests from the Penza region will get acquainted with the history of the project ‘Samara – reserve capital’, will find out the role of the city during the World War II, will discover the feats of the city residents and will visit the famous Stalin’s bunker,” the press service of the regional Ministry of Education told PenzaNews.

The office also added that within the project the pupils of Penza schools will also visit the exhibition centre “Cosmic Samara”.
