The heads of the executive and representative municipal bodies solemnly awarded the president of LLC VolgaInterMedia Ivan Malikov and the editor in chief Pavel Polosin with the certificate of honour and the diploma during the annual awarding ceremony for mass media representatives who distinguished themselves at the contest of best informing about the City Duma and administration activity.

In particular, the Penza mayor Victor Kuvaytsev thanked the PenzaNews team for the effective cooperation, high civic position and patriotism, reliable and timely informing of the city residents about the city events, high professional competence and objectiveness.

In turn, the head of the city Valery Savelyev awarded PenzaNews with the winner diploma of the contest of best mass media informing about the City Duma activity in the nomination “For civic and social sounding”.

Victor Kuvaytsev and Valery Savelyev also presented the agency’s managers with the picture of three historical coats of arms of Penza.

Within the awarding ceremony framework, diplomas and certificates of honour were also received by representatives of Penza TV channels, radio stations, newspapers and online media.

“Thanks to you, the reader and the viewer get the most complete image of the work that the municipality carries out. The way the society perceives the things that happen, evaluates future plans and the things that were already done depends on your talent, objectiveness and fairness,” he noted.

The Penza mayor expressed special gratitude for the information support of the projects aimed at the city improvement.

“This year we managed to implement the programme ‘Our yard’ and to resettle residents from shabby dilapidated housing to the Zarya area before the appointed time. Much effort was put in the road repairs. Taking into account that Penza became a participant of the federal programme ‘Safe roads of high quality’, in 2017 we will have to do great work in this field,” he said.

In addition, Victor Kuvaytsev congratulated mass media heads on New Year, wished increase of the audience, great number of copies, high ratings as well as health, happiness and prosperity in 2017.
