Penza, 26 December 2016. PenzaNews. The governor Ivan Belozertsev regrets that the embankment of the Sura river in Penza, the reconstruction of which already began, is so small because it gives less possibilities for its improvement.

“For example, when you drive along Uritskogo street, where the Rostok monument is situated, you see that the territory is small and the residential buildings are near,” he said at the press conference in the regional government on Monday, December 26.

According to Ivan Belozertsev, earlier it was offered to remove the Rostok monument within the reconstruction framework, however, he is totally against it, as he considers the monument to be one of the symbols of the city.

“My idea is to make it ‘shine’, to make a good night illumination out of it,” the head of the region noted, adding that it is necessary to look for some special features while conducting the reconstruction.
