Penza, 24 January 2017. PenzaNews. The governor Ivan Belozertsev ordered members of the regional government and representatives of the Penza administration to formulate proposals for road reconstruction in 2017.

"This year we allocate significant amount of money for capital repairs and expansion of highways in the territory of the regional centre. It is necessary to make a presentation that will contain proposals for road junctions, modernization of certain objects of transport infrastructure," he noted giving orders to persons in charge.

Ivan Belozertsev urged to pay special attention to the quality of materials and to give preference to Penza manufacturers’ products.

"Asphalt surface, curbstones, and paving slab should be durable," he emphasized.

The governor also demanded to establish strict control over the work of contracting organizations.

"We will impose heavy fines for violation of road construction period. When holding tenders, signing agreements and contracts with contracting organizations, we must take into account possibility of such situations," the press-service of the Penza region government quotes Ivan Belozertsev.
