Warm and damp air will be substituted by frosts caused by an anticyclone without significant rainfall.

At present, the mercury fell to -6ºС, and on Thursday, January 26, the temperature is forecasted to drop to -20ºС.

It is expected that on the night of Friday frosts will get stronger, the mercury will fell to -25ºС, at the same time, it will be warmer in the daytime – around -15ºС. On Saturday, the air temperature will range from -20ºС at night to -15ºС in the daytime.

Because of the expected fall of temperature, the acting mayor of Penza Sergei Volkov ordered the heads of area administrations and representatives of the managing companies to conduct inspections in yard territories, and the director of the municipal unitary enterprise “Penzadormost” Vyacheslav Golokhvastov – to check the condition of sidewalks and pedestrian crossings once again.

In addition, the head of the social administration of Penza Irina Fedonina was ordered to organize inspection of heat pipelines chambers, cellars and other places where homeless people can gather, in order to provide them with necessary assistance.
