Penza, 28 January 2017. PenzaNews. 160 traffic rules violations by pedestrians were registered during the operative preventive action conducted by workers of the traffic police in the territory of the Penza region on Friday, January 27.

"The state traffic police once again reminds all road users about the need to be careful at pedestrian crossings: drivers mustn’t forget about the necessity to reduce the speed and pedestrians must make sure that they are allowed to cross," the propaganda department of the traffic police of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation commented.

The department noted that running over pedestrians is one of the most tragic types of traffic accidents because it leads to drastic consequences for health and life.
