Thanks to prosecutors 335 million rubles of salary arrears paid off in Penza region

Penza, 7 February 2017. PenzaNews. Salary arrears amounting to 335 million rubles were paid in the Penza region in 2016 thanks to the actions of the prosecutor. This was reported by the senior assistant of the head of the regional prosecutor for media relations Svetlana Artamonova.

"Over 8,730 violations of citizens' constitutional rights to timely and complete payment for work were registered during the supervision. 742 reports were submitted for their elimination. Upon the initiative of prosecutors, 605 guilty authorities were brought to disciplinary responsibility, 734 authorities were found administratively liable, 12 of them were disqualified," the interlocutor specified.

She noted that salary arrears of the production cooperatives "Stroy-3", "Stroy-6", "Stroy-8", and the companies "Penzablagoustroystvo", "Chaadayevsky beton", "Stroitelny kirpich" and some others were paid off.

"18 criminal cases were opened under the Art. 145.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation 'Failure to pay salaries, pensions, scholarships, allowances and other payments' against the directors who intentionally encroached citizens' rights," Svetlana Artamonova specified.

She explained that over 5,000 applications for enforcement of payments were submitted to courts and over 100 million rubles were already paid off to the workers.

"In addition, four officials of the State Labour Inspectorate in the Penza region were brought to disciplinary responsibility for improper execution of  control functions in the sphere of labour relations, which resulted in wrong qualification of infringements of the law, lack of control over enforcement regulation, and violation of the procedure for assessment of appeals," the interlocutor said.
