Penza, 12 February 2017. PenzaNews. The folk celebration "Broad Maslenitsa" will start in the Belinsky central park on Sunday, February 26, at 12.00.

Guests of the celebration will be invited to visit five entertainment areas.

It is planned that teams of the centre of culture and leisure and students of musical schools No. 2 and 12 give a concert and entertaining performance on the stage on Vidovaya alley next to the planetarium.

The ice city "Winter fairytale" will continue its work on the dance floor. Daredevils will have a chance to compete in adroitness and skills taking part in an ancient Russian fun "Reach the rooster". As a present, they will receive a live rooster or a prize.

The ensembles "Slavyane", and "Rossiyskie Berezy" as well as the vocal studio "Maestro" will perform on the stage near the slot machines hall.

Sports competitions, relay races, games and contests will be held in other alleys of the park. Guests will be entertained by puppets and clowns. Everyone will be able to buy souvenirs made by folk craftsmen, and to taste a variety of food – pancakes, baked goods and barbecue.

The burning of the effigy will be held in the Belinsky park at 19.00.

After that, a disco featuring the fire band "Soltis" will start.
