Penza, 11 February 2017. PenzaNews. Events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Russians who served abroad will be held in Penza on February 14-15.

As it was reported by the press service of the Penza region government, a concert of patriotic songs will be held on Tuesday, February 14, in the House of Youth.

On the next day, citizens will lay flowers and wreaths to the graves of fallen soldiers at Novo-Zapadnoe cemetery.

At 10.00, the memory of those who died will be commemorated at the Torn Star monument, and at 11.00 – at the Afghan Gates monument.

At 12.00 the exhibition "Russian uniform", which includes photos, newspapers, and uniforms starting from the First World War and ending with modern times, will be opened in the House of Youth.

The event featuring students and members of war historical societies will be held at the premises of this establishment. They will compete in tug-of-war, firing long-barrelled airguns, throwing knives, lifting weights, team rope skipping. People will have a chance to visit field kitchen.
