Workers of education in Penza started preventive work in connection with the participation of a number of school pupils in the so-called "groups of death", which operate in social networks and incite teenagers to commit suicide. This was reported by the head of the city education department Yuri Golodyaev.

"We became worried because it was established that some children in Penza are also involved," he said during the 31th regular session of the Penza City Duma on Wednesday, February 22.

Yuri Golodyaev explained that because of this, teachers remind parents about the necessity to control their children's social circle including the one on the Internet.

"We set the task for teachers and parents to monitor the Internet every day and to identify such groups because the URLs of these web pages are often changed and redirected. On detecting such Internet pages, it is necessary to report to the internal affairs authorities and the prosecutor's office, and to take measures on the website of the Federal Supervision Agency for Information Technologies and Communications to block these pages," he said.

The head of the city education department added that police is in charge of identifying the persons who incline children to suicide.
