Penza, 28 February 2017. PenzaNews. Penza region teams of the air defence missile system Buk-M2 took part in the military exercises conducted on the Totsk firing ground in the Orenburg region on Tuesday, February 28.
As it was reported by the press service of the central military district, the units of the air defence troops practiced the course of actions aimed at covering force groupings from air attacks.
"According to the plan of the exercises, the units had to do along march to the encampment site and to destroy the enemy's air force. Penza region teams of the air defence missile system Buk-M2 were alerted and redeployed 500 km away from the site of their previous stationing. At the encampment site, soldiers loaded the launching machines and successfully conducted several dozens of firing exercises aiming at highly manoeuvrable targets," the press service explained.
The department noted that the military exercises were held within the framework of the annual military camp of the air defence troops, which will last till the middle of March.
