Penza, 28 February 2017. PenzaNews. The rector of Penza State University Alexander Gulyakov said that it is a parents' mistake to take care of their children till adulthood.

"There is a saying: ‘If you give birth to a daughter or a son, take care of them until they retire’. We think they are feeble and need protection. [...] And I believe that it is our main mistake," he said during the forum "Police for a healthy lifestyle", which was held for the first time at the premises of the House of Youth on Tuesday, February 28.

Alexander Gulyakov noted that modern children grow up very fast.

"At the age of 15 children are ready to get married while parents still indulge their caprices. [...] Instead, we should have serious talks with them about what is good and what is bad," the rector of Penza State University explained.

Otherwise, according to him, young criminals do not feel responsible for their actions and blame everyone for their fate but themselves.

Alexander Gulyakov added that everyone should be responsible for themselves.

"It concerns both the civil order and the moral principles," he emphasized.
