The exposition prepared by the regional department of the Union of Journalists of Russia features works of Dmitry Makarov, Sergei Krasilnikov, Vladimir Pavlovsky, Vladimir Grishin, and Andrei Demin.
As it was explained by the head of the regional department of the Union of Journalists of Russia, the editor in chief of the “Penzenskaya pravda” newspaper Pavel Shishkin, the idea to conduct such exhibition appeared thanks to social networks, which sometimes show informal photos of female employees of mass media that were not included in official reports.
"When you look at such photos you think about how beautiful women journalists are. Unfortunately, while working we do not notice this. I think you know that at work there is no difference between men and women, there are only colleagues," he said.
According to Pavel Shishkin, the aim of the exhibition is to remind people that female representatives of this profession are not only eloquent but also attractive.
In turn, the deputy chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Vyacheslav Kosmachev noted that there is a tendency of journalism becoming a female profession.
"There are fewer men who choose this occupation. Journalism is the most intense and the most responsible sphere of work – and our women are ready to cope with it keeping microphones and cameras ready. Nowadays we can see female journalists even in battlefields. Dear ladies, I understand that you are ready to take upon yourself any difficult task but we are worried about you," the deputy speaker of the regional parliament said.
He asked women to take care of themselves and on behalf of men, he promised to protect them all the time. Then the speaker recited the poem by Andrei Dementyev "I know that all women are beautiful...".
It is planned that the exhibition, which will work in the literature museum till the end of March, will be conducted every year.
