Penza received an award of the 9th international competition "Perfect city to live in" conducted between countries-members of Commonwealth of Independent States and Eurasian Economic Union in 2016 within the framework of the international forum "Megalopolis of 21st century".

On Tuesday, March 21, the board of the association "Union of municipal settlements of the Penza region" Yuri Alpatov presented the diploma to the head of the Penza administration Victor Kuvaytsev.

The municipality was made a special mention of in connection with realization of the social project "Splashes of summer" aimed at involving citizens in health promotion programmes, organization of mass sports events outdoors as well as introduction of a rating evaluation system in universities, the press service of the mayor's office reports.
