Penza, 23 March 2017. PenzaNews. A rally within the framework of the All-Russian action "In defense of animals" will be held in Dzerzhinsky public garden on Saturday, March 25, at 15.00.

It is expected that up to 200 people will take part in it.

As it was told by the organizer of the rally Elvira Golubeva, during the event it is planned to collect signatures in support of the adoption of the federal law "On protection of animals from cruelty", which is further intended to be submitted to the government of the Russian Federation.

She noted that such law should be fair.

"In my opinion, a fair law means a responsible treatment of animals, a ban on killing viable animals, the use of the "SSVR" method – seizure, sterilization, vaccination and return to the habitat, as well as a life-long keeping of aggressive animals in shelters," the interlocutor explained.

Elvira Golubeva added that it is also necessary to increase the responsibility for abuse of animals.

"We do care about what kind of law will be issued," the organizer of the upcoming rally emphasized.
