Penza, 7 April 2017. PenzaNews. About 20 volunteers cleaned the territory of the future public garden "Zelenaya volna" ["Green wave"] in Mira street in Penza on Friday, April 7.

The group of volunteers included members of the regional department of the Russian geographic society, members of the youth club, pupils from school No. 18, and workers of the Leninsky area of Penza.

The territory of the future public garden is situated near a large ravine where a dump of debris used to be located. By the moment, all illegally constructed garages were demolished, the territory was leveled and cleaned of large waste.

According to the chairman of the Russian Geographical Society branch Igor Pantyushov, the view from the chosen territory is wonderful, therefore there exists a possibility of creating a viewing platform at this land plot.

"There is a perfect overlooking view here that in summer will show the whole beauty of our city. [...] We want to create such a viewing platform for the youth," he said.
