Within the framework of the Russian head-quarter exercises that started on Thursday morning, April 20, representatives of the EMERCOM department, the police as well as medical workers practiced a course of actions aimed at providing help to residents affected by flood.

According to the legend, at 6.00 as a result of long rain and the average daily temperature increase, snow started to melt actively and the level of the Atmis river increased to 300 cm in the village Kamenka and to 700 cm in the village Golovinschino.

As a result, 450 houses with the population of 1,500 people were flooded in Kamenka, and 42 houses with 87 resident – in Golovinschino.

The level of water continued to increase and it was necessary to evacuate people from the flooded areas.
The course of actions of the emergency services was practised at the Sura river near the island Peski in Penza.
