Penza, 20 April 2017. PenzaNews. Five cases of rabies among animals were registered in the territory of the Penza region from January to March, 2017. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer rights protection and human well-being.

They were registered in the Bekovsky, Shemysheisky, Bessonovsky, and Luninsky areas. Two foxes, two cats and one dog were infected.

According to the department, last year during the analogous period, the service registered 14 cases of rabies among animals.
