About 100 cases of HIV-infection registered in Penza region during 3 months of 2017

Penza, 25 April 2017. PenzaNews. 96 new cases of HIV infection were registered in the Penza region from January to March, 2017. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Federal Service on Surveillance for Consumer rights protection and human well-being.

According to the department, the total number of HIV-infected people registered during this time is 118.
The overall situation is characterized by the tendency towards stabilization.
According to the results of three months, the highest rates of newly registered cases of HIV infection is observed in the Maloserdobinsky area – 22 cases per 100,000, the Bessonovsky area – 16.8 cases per 100,000, the Kolysheysky area – 16.3 cases, the Kuznetsky area – 16, the Penza area – 12.3, as well as in Penza – 12.2 cases per 100,000.
