Penza, 6 May 2017. PenzaNews. Events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Komsomol will be held in the Penza region in the years 2017-2018. The corresponding decree of the regional government was signed by the governor Ivan Belozertsev.

According to the text of the document, the organizational committee has to develop and approve the plan of main actions for preparation and conduct of festive events.

Co-chairmen of the organizational committee are the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Valery Lidin, the vice governor Valery Savin and the gubernatorial and regional government staff chief Larisa Ryabikhina.

The counsellor under the university administration of Penza State University Alexander Fionov was appointed the secretary of the committee.

It is recommended that bodies of local self-government and educational institutions also create organizational committees and initiative groups for preparation to the events. Moreover, they were advised to get involved Komsomol members of different generations, as well as representatives of youth organizations and movements.
