Penza, 15 May 2017. PenzaNews. Works on repairing the view point at the Sura embankment, cleaning and restoration of the pedestal and the stele Rostok, as well as partial asphalting of a cycling path were concluded in Penza.

"By now we concluded view point repairs, cleaned the stylobate and the Rostok monument. In future we will repair the lower pedestrian walking area tiling it with granite. This will be the conclusion of the first stage of the embankment reconstruction," the head of the Penza Capital Repairs Department Igor Umnov reported at the briefing held on Monday, May 15.

According to him, workers started reconstruction of the lower tier of the embankment.

"The slopes will be reinforced with a concrete grid, and their lower part will be decorated with granite tiles. There will be drainage facilities installed in the bottom," Igor Umnov explained.

He added that construction supervision services are provided by the contracting organization "Vozrozhdenie" from Saint Petersburg and its specialist is present at the construction site during builders’ work hours: from 8.00 to 18.00-19.00.

In turn, the deputy head of the city Department of Architecture and Urban Planning Irina Shirshina expressed hope that the planned works will be completed ahead the schedule.

"The date of the contract termination is November 15 but taking into account weather conditions we asked the contracting organization to complete all physical works at the site by the end of October in order to prepare the object for its further transfer to the client under the delivery acceptance act," she explained.
