Penza, 15 May 2017. PenzaNews. 43 recreation areas and 11 beaches will be opened in the Penza region in the summer 2017. This was reported by the head of the Penza region Communal Affairs and Civil Security Department Mikhail Panyukhin.

"We have an opportunity to increase the number of beaches by providing recreation areas with additional equipment using minimal financial recourses," he said at an operative meeting held in the regional government on Monday, May 15.

Mikhail Panyukhin specified that at present explanatory work on re-equipment of recreation areas into beaches is conducted with entrepreneurs.

"In order to meet regulatory requirements to beaches it is necessary to have a rowboat, a ring-buoy, to limit a swimming area, and so on," the head of the department explained.

He added that since water in Penza does not meet sanitary-epidemiological requirements, it is impossible to create a certified beach in the city.

"At the same time, we are preparing [...] six equiped areas, which will meet all requirements," Mikhail Pantyukhin noted.

According to him, it is planned that all recreation areas and beaches of the Penza region are prepared before June 1.

"At present, workers are delivering sand, cleaning the bottom of the water body, mowing the reed, installing changing cubicles and garbage containers," the man explained.
