Penza, 17 May 2017. PenzaNews. Planting of forest crops in the Penza region was performed at the area of 967 hectares, which equals to 101% of planned volume.

Repeated planting was conducted at the area of 1.576 hectares.

Altogether, 5 million of Scotch pine seedlings were planted during the spring.

By now, seeding was also conducted in regional forest nurseries at the area of 8.5 hectares, where 600 kilograms of pine seeds were planted. 0.12 hectares of greenhouse territories were sown.

Reforestation works will be continued in autumn, the press service of the regional Ministry of Forestry informs.
