Network of bicycle lanes to be expanded in Penza
Penza, 19 May 2017. PenzaNews. A bicycle lane network is planned to be expanded in Penza. This was reported by the head of the city administration Victor Kuvaytsev on Friday, May 19.
"Bicycle lanes in the city will expand. At present, the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning is drawing the details of the bicycle lanes in the city streets so that they are accessible and safe. Their length will amount to over 70 km," he said during a briefing after his participation in the campaign "Bike to work".
The campaign was also attended by workers of the city administration such as the vice mayors Andrei Shevchenko and Yuri Ilyin, the EMERCOM department head Alexei Mikhailov, the head of the city’s Culture Department Vera Feigina, and the chairman of the committee on physical education, sports and youth policy Natalya Ozerova.
They rode from the Olimpiyskaya alley in Zapadnaya Polyana to the Penza mayor's office, the press service of the mayor's office informs.
