Penza, 24 May 2017. PenzaNews. The service Yandex.Taxi started to work in Penza on Wednesday, May 24. This was reported by the regional representative of the company Yandex Nadezhda Olguchanskaya.

"There is no need to call a dispatcher to order a taxi: Yandex.Taxi will automatically identify a user's location and will send the order to a driver who can arrive the quickest. The average waiting time in Penza equals to 5 minutes. It is possible to use the application to follow the arrival of the car," the interlocutor explained.

According to her, the minimum cost of a trip in Penza does not exceed 49 rubles.

"It includes sending up a car and 3 kilometres of the route. The cost of each further kilometre is no more than 10 rubles. For example, it costs 109 rubles to get from the central market to the trade centre 'Retail Park'. A trip from the airport to the trade centre 'Prospekt' will cost approximately 219 rubles. When leaving the city, each kilometre of the route will cost no more than 18 rubles," Nadezhda Ogulchanskaya added.

She noted that it is possible to pay for a trip either by cash or by a bank card in the application.

"When calling a taxi, there is no need to know the exact address of your destination, it is enough to specify the name of the institution or organization and the service will find it on the map and will build the route," the interlocutor specified.

According to her, Yandex.Taxi does not work with drivers directly but collaborates only with taxi companies and dispatchers.

"When distributing orders, the application takes into accout the driver's rating based on users' estimates and statistics of completed trips. Today, over 100 cars from 10 taxi companies are included in the service in Penza," Nadezhda Ogulchanskaya said.

In turn, the head of the Yandex.Taxi regional development department Alexei Fedorov stressed that at present, the cost of a trip via the service is one of the most affordable ones.

"Our technologies and algorithms make the taxi a comfortable and affordable means of transportation. By sending the order automatically to the nearest driver, we reduce the time of waiting and, consequently, the cost of the service, since the driver does not have to go to the client through the whole city," he explained.
