As local people told PenzaNews, works aimed at solving the issue had been conducted over several weeks – the workers dismantled the kerbstones and laid them in another place. They also laid paving tiles where it was necessary.

In particular, now a walkway near the Auchan supermarket turns towards a zebra crossing. Its previous stretch that used to lead to the road was covered with earth and, as it is expected, it will soon become a part of the lawn.

The pedestrian zone near the Magnit supermarket was slightly widened due to displacement of the kerb.

The kerb on the opposite side of Auchan was removed. Now, the pedestrian crossing leads to a kind of a safety island laid with paving tiles.

Signs of a pedestrian crossing, which had been absent before, were installed on both sides of the road.

In addition, the residents said that another innovation is that a guard box in Raduzhnaya street, at the entrance to Sputnik City, was removed. At present, the area remains unoccupied.
