Penza region occupies 27th position in ecological rating of Russian regions
Penza, 5 June 2017. PenzaNews. According to the results of spring 2017, the Penza region occupies the 27th position in the ecological rating of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the results of which were published by the all-Russian public organization “Green Patrol”.

According to the information published, the region went up for three positions compared to the previous rating.
Among regions of the Volga Federal District, the Penza region is located in the 5th position – after Chuvashia, the Ulyanovsk region, the Perm Krai, and Udmurtia.
The region showed the following results: the industrial-economic index amounts to 37/63, the socio-ecologic index – to 64/36, and the aggregate ecologic index – to 50/50.
The environmental indexes vary on the "Green Patrol" website: the aggregate rating indicates that the Penza region's index is 45/55, and the region's profile shows that it equals to 46/54. The organization failed to give a quick comment to PenzaNews which of the indicators should be considered correct.
