Active boarding school for young people with disabilities "House of Veronika" opened in Penza

Penza, 21 June 2017. PenzaNews. The active boarding school for young people with severe disabilities "House of Veronika", which became the first establishment of such kind in Russia, was solemnly opened in Penza on Wednesday, June 21.

The honorary guests who took part in the opening ceremony included the Minister of Labour Maxim Topilin, the presidential plenipotentiary envoy in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, the head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, and the governor of the Penza region Ivan Belozertsev.
As it was reported by a PenzaNews journalist, the project proponent – the chairman of the public organization "Blagovest", the director of the centre for wheelchair-bound people "Kvartal Louis" Maria Lvova-Belova conducted an excursion for the guests around the two-storeyed building.
She spoke about organization of assisted living, education and employment of people with disabilities.
